Right. Take that $200 and save it. Then save another $200. Then
save $200 one more time. Then you'll have $600 and be able to get
into the used but ugly pro horn market, and it will really make a
difference. Plus, by then you'll feel better about dropping $600 on a
horn. And the old 3B or 6H or whatever you end up with will be WAY
cooler.
I am getting to the point that I never advise anyone to buy a student
horn, even students. For the price of a new student horn, you can get
a used pro horn, and the kid will have a better horn to play.
