[Trombone-l] Bartok gliss question revisited

Miraphone 57F--BB-flat contrabass, since you own one. Only play it real farty, like a ripe, juicy raspberry!

Your other solution is good, and it is how 95% of everyone who ever plays the piece does it. They only WISH they had the 7-position F Bass...

The Miraculous Mandarin is pretty ominous-sounding with the contra.

Sincerely,

JMT

Amen Ray! And not to beat a dead horse, but it is not only us trombone
players who pay attention to such things. Upon seeing that the Concerto was
scheduled I've already had several comments/questions/anecdotes on the gliss
from my colleagues in the orchestra. They are anxious to see what I do. So
a good job does not go unnoticed!
