[Trombone-l] 'Re'-Starting School At Age 41?

I was in my late twenties when I got back into engineering school. By then
I had three years of engineering credits, two years of music credits and the
experience of working for a living. I was also through with the worst of
those raging hormones, so I could concentrate a bit more on my studies and a
bit less on every female that walked past me at the library.

I found that I could more easily apply myself to my studies and that I had a
better relationship with all of my teachers. I also found that I had become
one of those @$$ #0!&$ who consistently got good grades, while the punkers
struggled just to pass.

I often think of getting back into school, as something to do in retirement.
But these days, I’m still too busy remodeling the house.
