And before that, "Arkansas Traveler" was a folk song although Stan Kenton arranged it for one of his early bands and even sang the lyrics.

  I don't think Bobbie Burns (the Arkansaw Traveller)  would mind at all, after all he invented the Bazooka as a musical instrument, before it became a weapon.
