Dan,
I also have bursitis in my right shoulder... and arthritis in both
shoulders. I almost quit playing because of it. That was 5 years ago.
That's also when I bought an Ergobone... I'm still playing (and with a lot
less pain).

Subject: [Trombone-l] Bursitis
I have debilitating bursitis in my right shoulder and all this time Ive
attributed it to the remodeling, Im doing on the house. But I took the
weekend off and my shoulder was feeling pretty good. So today I played
trombone for the first time in a long while. The bursitis is back in force,
after playing a half an hour of arpeggios.
Now, Ive been told that the reason they limit the number of cortisone shots
one can get is because it causes deterioration of the bonesnot a good
thing.
So Id like to avoid cortisone, if possible.
But is there anything else that will get my shoulder to stop throbbing?
