Lanolin is good, but basically any thick grease is good.
I use paraffin if the ring is loose.
Thanks

Subject: [Trombone-l] Slide lock grease
Silly question - the slide lock on my Bach 42 is no longer very smooth - I
cleaned the threads on the slide and the lock and used tuning slide grease.
It's improved but before I start experimenting with other, thicker greases,
thought I'd ask here. Any recommendations?
Thanks,
John
