If I might add my zwei pfennig. The King 606 is a great student horn, and it makes a great jazz peashooter too. I had some players in the shop a while back who actually liked the 606 for solo jazz work over some of the other professional jazz tenors we had on display. It's got a clear, direct sound, a good slide and good intonation. And it's an American made product.
