Another good tactic, although it's time consuming, is to transcribe
from recordings. If you're just doing rhythms, you don't even need a
keyboard nearby to help figure out pitches - just listen through a
shout chorus (or a solo) and write out the rhythms. You'll probably
be surprised how many of the rhythms that look left-handed on the page
come up all the time and sound downright casual when played by pros.
