[Trombone-l] Cimbasso or tuba?

Not that it matters much, but I went to look up the name of the upcoming opera, which I had already forgotten, and then sent the message without inserting it:


My post should have read:

"I have to advise our personnel manager on the subject ahead of time - I just did so three days ago for an upcoming production of _La Boheme_"


I'll add to my lengthy post: In our orchestra's case, we have three trombones and tuba under contract, and no access to a cimbasso or other substitute instrument, so when a request is made for four trombones it just adds confusion, contractually and musically.
