I came up with an interesting analogy resently that
kinda applies.

"When you're hauling the mail (musically speaking)
loud playing pealing the paint, you're gonna use a
mail truck (something with a medium to large bore) but
the problem with the mail truck is that it doesn't
handle well at high speeds especially around corners. 
For that you're gonna us a sports car something low to
ground not alot of trunk space but man can she go
fast. (something with a small bore).

maybe it sounds stupid but it works for me.
