Hey Howard,
I have been hooked on trombone-L for almost 10 years now. Because of
it, we have had a number of notable folks to come to Lamar and
present clinics, workshops, and recitals. Folks who have been here
have included: Doug Yeo of the Boston Pops (I also mastered his
"Take One" CD), Michael Davis (4 times), Bill Reichenbach (twice),
Sam Burtis (NYC), Tom Izzo and his huge collection of trombones...
and a few pro's from Texas, too!
I have made countless contacts which resulted in strong friendships
with folks from all over the world. You should check it out.
I'll "cc" the "L" here, but you would have to sign up in order to
receive the e-mails. Discussions range from slide-o-mix & trombotine
to performance anxiety and everything in-between. Whenever I've
needed technical help, whether it was computer related or dealing
with some trombone issue -- someone on trombone-L has always been
there to help; and usually darn quick, too!

====================
Dear Trombone-L members:
Howard Lamb is a suburb trombonist. He is retired from the United
States Navy Band where he was one of their finest jazz trombonists
with the famed Commodores Jazz Ensemble. He makes his living now in
Memphis, TN and is very active in the music scene there. He is a
trombone "hero" of mine!
Sincerely,
--Wayne
