Phil and all,

I like the idea that one can learn something from taking beta-blockers 
recreationally and then get off of them.

As someone who went to college in the ‘60s, I always felt that recreational 
pharmaceuticals were often OK, but definitely not something you wanted to 
get hooked on.  The question is whether you can learn something and then get 
on with your life.
