[Trombone-l] Wrist and arm aches...solutions?

I have had significant left arm and shoulder problems due to an injury, and
found that the Bullet Brace definitely helped. Another thing to check is
the angle of the bell to slide attachment - even a 1/4" difference in the
angle can make a significant problem.
One other idea - check Doug Yeo's web site and look at his left hand grip.
He puts the slide crossbar between the second and third fingers, rather than
between the first and second.
It's all about the geometry of the instrument and your body. Use a
full-length mirror to check your posture as well.
