Hey Gary,

In light of your original explanation, I was gonna reply to the list with a light-hearted: "Forget it. I tried this ploy years ago. The folks on this list don't buy into it."

I had it ready to send. But then everybody got all serious about it. This, added to my well-known aversion to those darn (that's a euphemism) smiley thingies, led me to reconsider. I have. I've decided to not send it.

So I won't.
