[Trombone-l] Beta blockers

I'd suggest that hypnosis is more helpful over the long term, as is
self-talk and related remedies.

I've not used beta-blockers, but I know some friends who used them
with "success" in performance (or rehearsals).

But they are drugs.
They have side effects, most of them.
Dosage is uncertain.
Habituation can occur. Reliance. What happens when you stop taking them?
They're not quite cheap yet.

I think Dr Wolfe had an article on these, in an ITJ a year or so ago.
