Rubank Advanced Method, Volume 1 is a terrific book for 7th graders
or advanced beginners.
I used it with great success when I taught middle school.
You'll like it. Scales, technique, melodies (for legato study),
excerpts from Arban's, and duets. GOOD, good book!
