Don't know what a floy floy is or was but a flat foot - at least in
those days was a police officer. My sainted mother admitted to me that,
while growing up in Chicago, she and her little girlfriends used to run
up to cops on the beat and sing, "Flat foot floogie with the floy floy"
and then run off giggling. They evidently thought they were the cats
pajamas. (What does that mean?)
FYI - I am not going to check the date because that would mean I was
challenging mom's memory, but this was not 40's swing. It was 30's swing.
