[Trombone-l] Church music, tbn solos

Hi Wayne, I probably wouldn't put the blame entirely on the publishers.
Usually they print what is asked of them, meaning people probably
complained about the tunes being TOO challenging.
Lame as that may sound, I agree.
BUT...
It's another sad commentary on our society.
EVERYTHING it seems is being dumbed down in some way.
Most people are just too freakin lazy or stupid to challenge themselves,
even just a little!!
Thanks

It is just a cryin' shame that those books are so watered down. At
least, the ones I bought are. "Battle of Jericho" is the only
challenging one.
I wish they had printed what he played on the recordings. Publishers
have dumbed us down for too long. Give a kid a motivating recording
and I'm of the opinion they will shine, rising to the challenge.
Bill Peirce. Great stuff. The Urbie of the Christian world.

If you haven't heard of Bill Pierce, then you owe it to yourself to go
online and order one of his recordings.
I discovered him soon after being Baptised.
