I read several books on the subject and then started buying obviously
crunched trombones on ebay. I now own about a dozen student-level
trombones, all with good slides. And Ive sold a bunch of trombones, as
well.
The Frankenbone I presently play was made out of three trombones, which I
bought crunched. I love it.
But I do agree with some of you. Dont take chances. Go out and hire a
professional trombonist to play the parts that youve been given. By all
means, dont try to do anything you cant already do well. Dont do
anything too_______ (fill in the blank). And be careful. I think your
mother said that last thing.
