Yes, it is a hard plastic (maybe fiberglass) case. Very sturdy. Made by a 
company called "Sweet Spot Golf". By the way, do not lock any case or 
luggage you may use, because the TSA people will break it open if they 
decide to inspect your case. They broke the latch on our guitar player's 
case and he did not even lock it. We knew it was the TSA who did it, because 
they have to leave a little paper notice in your case after they inspect 
your stuff.

I'm sure that your talk about a golf bag case, refers to a hard case like a
SKB flight case.
