Actually, the wording of the agreement was that Apple would never be
in the music publishing or recording business.  At one point, Apple
was threatened with a lawsuit when they began incorporating stereo
recorded sounds on the Mac for the system "beeps."

They, of course, decided to have a little fun with it.  For years,
there was a system alert sound that was a sample of (I believe) an
F-augmented triad played on a toy xylophone.

The name of the file was "SOSUMI".

Think about how to pronounce that . . .
