I'm currently a small-shank only guy simply because my "big" horn is
a Kanstul 760s which is German style dual-bore.

I have four MP's (three of them are my design--see the website for
pics and more detailed info) which all have the same rim (1.01") that
is similar in contour to the Schilke "4" designation, or a Wick.
Then I have the varying cup depths combined with corresponding back
bore; from smallest to largest they are: Lead, Jazz, Schilke 51c4,
and Legit. If I'm playing my Kanstul 1606s (Williams 6 copy) then it
will be the two smallest, but usually the jazz. With the 760s it
could be any of the four. This makes it incredibly easy to
"chameleon" the 760 into the correct timbre for whatever is required.
