Many of you may have missed Jim Scott's post regarding Alain. Alain had major sirgery last week for stage 4 cancer. The surgery lasted 10/12 hours and Alain is expected to be hospitalized for 3 weeks during which time, future treatment will be determined.

In addition to being an amazing trombone player, Alain has in recent years had an increasing number of conducting gigs, both in Canada and internationally. From my vantage point as a listener, it would appear that he has the potential to be a conducting superstar. Let us hope and pray that his recovery will be swift and seamless and he will soon be providing musical inspiration to us all.
