Richard,

I'm sure both parties are frustrated.  The list may not be the best 
place, but in the circumstances they've both conducted themselves like 
gentlemen in the exchange here.  That was a nice, friendly apology this 
morning.  I hope the transaction ends well.

This unusual dialog can remind us that the business and the arts are 
safer, more ethical places when we know each other and have high 
expectations of each other.
