Having received this e-mail twice, I assume that the players there are 
really worried that American players will go to Santiago to snatch up their 
gigs. After Mr. Roberts' description of the situation, I think that is 
unlikely. Of course there are people who will take anything, just to have a 
gig...any gig. Any one know more about this situation?

Theatre (Teatro Municipal) in Santiago, Chile, sound an alert to the
international community, concerning the grave crisis which has been imposed
on us by the administration."
