Dear Listers:
I sent Charles Levine a private message about the Brace, but I'd
like to modify a bit what I said to him.
On the lighter slides, the Brace is a definite asset. On the Bach LT
slide, I wouldn't leave home without it.
I tried it on one of my Bach yellow brass slides tonight, and from
my perspective, it seemed to really solidify the entire feel of the horn.
However, it isn't so much what it feels like on my end; it is what it sounds
like on your end that is the ultimate test. If you can hear a notice
difference in clarity and purity, then it's a winner. If you can't, then why
bother? Perhaps I need to give it more of a chance.
