I found that the knockoff of The Brace that I built basically did the same 
thing as adding a brass nut, weighing about 2.2 ounces, to the mouthpiece.  
And it did it by adding very little weight to the overall instrument.  But 
it did add that weight to something that one is constantly trying to move 
around and it was noticeable.  So the issue became, did I want to add weight 
to the slide, effecting my right hand, or did I want to add more weight to 
the mouthpiece, effecting my left hand.  I chose burdening my left hand.  
And my brace thingie sits in a drawer, someplace.
