[Trombone-l] Carl/Jimmy Cook

Carl Fontana did some great solo work on this Jimmy Cook Band LP. Does 
anyone have this record or know where to get it. I would love to have a 
copy...even a bad copy.

Here is some info from some old e-mails on the subject.

The big band version with the Jimmy Cook  is the Bill Holman arrangement, 
recorded in 1960 in Las Vegas for Camden CAL 670.

He also recorded a shortened version of it on a 1961 album
done by the Jimmy Cook band out of Las Vegas, title of
the album being "Jimmy Cook: The Best New Band of
the Year."   Magnificent playing on that version, with a
remarkably different approach than on the earlier recording.
