An alternative I've had great success with is "Transcribe" by Seventh
String.
Both, I believe, were written by jazz guitar players. If I'd only had
one of these apps in college, boy!
Both are under $50. (Transcribe is £25 - saucey Brits!)
I'm not sure about ASD, but Transcribe has great filtering that lets
you pull out the bass or single out a particular frequency range among
other things. This is wicked helpful when it comes to transcribing
tight voicings or intricate horn lines. ...or Miles' semi-in-tune bent
notes.
Cheers!
