It's even worse when the stand loses its grip from the bell and drops on
your toe. Then the whole trombone flies into the air, bouncing off the
ceiling and side wall, knocking you unconscious on the way down, finally
resting on top of you flat on the floor along with your music stand and
Guinness soaked Arban book. Every trombonist should have insurance cover
against this event.
