Gabe,

I watched the Boston Pops tonight and I caught the slightest glimpse of
you. Unfortunately, CBS's production of it was so horrid that I'm glad I
watched it on Tivo later instead of missing the Fort Collins Symphony's
performance at our local fireworks show.

No slight to the Boston Pops. The orchestra sounded incredible as
always, but CBS screwed this one up big time. The constant camera sweeps
darn near made me seasick and the orchestra felt woefully
underrepresented. After commercials, the Boston Pops got maybe 15
minutes of a 60 minute show. Ugh.

Didn't PBS used to do Pops Goes the Fourth? It was MUCH better back then
- more about the orchestra, less about the MC(s) and the commercials and
camera tricks.
