[Trombone-l] earplugs?

Are there earplugs that only block above certain db levels?  That seems like
it would have to be electronic.

I use Etymotic ER-20 earplugs, but if you are looking for a write off, they
won't help much, as they are only about $15 a pair.  I find they have a
fairly natural sound, especially given the cost.  I am happy with the
ER-20s.

I have heard really good things about the custom fitted musicians earplugs,
but I have never used them, so I can't say from personal experience.
