Hello,

Assuming that your alto sounds an E flat in closed first position, the
enclosed file (tif) will list the first position notes. As per the
tenor trombone, there are intonation issues (please don't try to play
the 7th partial Db in first position- it is included solely for
further slide positions - i.e. C5 in a raised second position).

As for figuring out the other slide positions and notes, start with a
1st position B flat (just below middle C) and do a basic 'Remington
Warm-ups' on these 1st position notes and you'll figure it out-
smaller slide implies shorter slide positions.
Let your ear and mind be your guide... do the remington exercises
starting on other pitches (i.e. Eb) and and have fun!

All the best,

Peter
