BTW, the gold M21 is now OVER $510!!!

....FOR A MOUTHPIECE!!!!!

For shame!!

Just THINK of all the S-O-M or Trombotine you could buy for that!!! (Or
Guinness!)

{I'd still like to play it just once.}

Cheers!

Also, HE was the jazz player. She wasn't. Maybe to her, jazz paid the
bills (or didn't). My wife doesn't love my gear NEARLY as much as I do.
And not to be harsh or insensitive, but once the person's gone, it's
just a plaque, or a mouthpiece, or a mute (or 5!).

...Went through this with my grandfather's stuff. And with the majority
of it, after the initial "Oh, wow! He did that?" wore off, the
"Wha'd'we do with it now??" set in.

So I'm sure Mrs. JJ doesn't need a drawer full of old mouthpieces. How
many paperweights does one need?

(Just arguing the other POV.)

...And I wouldn't mind having the gold M21 that HE ACTUALLY played. I
have the original M21 that came with my '51 2B. However, it sits in a
drawer waiting to be used, too.

Cheers!

I'm quite skeptical about it, as well. I mean, why eBay??? Sure,
you could potentially fetch a decent price for the memorabilia,
but it seems a bit tacky to me for her to post all of those
sentimental items on eBay. Why not a more upscale auction company?
And I'm not privy to her current financial situation, but does she
really need the money that bad to where she'd sell personal items
of such sentimental value? I just don't get it. I don't trust it.
Then again, I was never interested in bidding on any of it. I was
just wondering about its authenticity.
