[Trombone-l] airy sound-new mpieces

I'm very happy with my G&W "Chocolatero" (i.e. 12C-sized . . .somewhat
flatter rim). I was really lucky and had no breakin problems. But then
I've standardized on a 12C rim size (I've got pretty thin lips) and this is
very much that size.
Does seem to be an easier mouthpiece to play long four, 45min : 15min sets
on. Sound is hard to say that it's really that different, if anything it is
brighter (which is what I'm looking for). I'm thinking that the
playability for long hours may be more of a cofactor of the comfort of
Stainless. It is known to be a comfortable material to have next to skin.
I know I often get uncomfortable with most watch bands but not so much with
certain plastics and Stainless.
Considering how acidy I am and how readily I eat through metals, it will
still be impossible to eat thru the plating because there is NONE. Just
surgical SS all the way. G&W did laser mark their name and the model name
on it.
I also like the "no frills" very sleek pattern. Sorta art nouveau looking.
I like that kind of thing. Form follows function.
Chris
