Since we're talking about Kanstuls, I recently bought a Kanstul 1570.  
It is supposed to be a copy of a Mt. Vernon 42B with gold brass bell.  
It seems very well made for the most part, and plays well.  The guys I 
play with in Dallas Opera said it plays great and that it plays like a 
really good Bach.  Slide is very good.  I guess the 1688 is supposed to 
be more like a Conn right?
