[Trombone-l] Ashley Alexander question

Hokay, it's "stupid question" time from one of the few members here who
doesn't play trombone....

I have the Ashley Alexander CD "Seems Like Old Times", and it's one of my
favorites. That was probably my first trombone-feature CD purchase.

But why did Whigham and Barone say he played a "weird instrument"? (not a
trivia question, I am curious).

Thanks,
