[Trombone-l] stuck mouthpiece

If the leadpipe is removeable from the slide, remove the leadpipe by unscrewing (if threaded) and place the mouthpiece and shank in a glass of ice water.  After about 10 minutes, you should be able to pull the mouthpiece from the leadpipe with minimum effort.  Or, wrap the mouthpiece with an ice pack for about the same time and trying pulling gently.  I would avoid the use of any type hammer.
