That's caused by each list member's email software, which typically
copies older messages into replies.  Some folks manually delete the
repetitive stuff when replying, and some have software which
automatically hides it when reading the replies.  (I recommend Gmail
for this feature, but it only works if you get individual messages,
not the digest.)

Generally, you're stuck with it, unless you can persuade people to
delete older messages when they're replying, or use a mail reader that
can block it out.
