[Trombone-l] more on bucket mute idea

Just a thought here...I've had some success at giving that "velvet"/bucket  
kind of sound by using my SOFTONE practice mute--the one that looks like a 
beret  for the Jamaican bobsled team....draped halfway over the bell....
 
This produces a 1930/40s Ginger Rodgers movie musical feel....very smooth  
and mellow, like a cup but rounder.  This may be what you are looking  for...
 
BTW...I got this tip from bass boniest Eddie Clark (NTState/Kentucky guy  
again now)
