Another exception:  Bob Newhart hired an ensemble from Grand Rapids, which 
included a friend of mine, to warmup the audience at his appearance in 
Chicago.  He passed out the music for his entrance and was a gracious, 
undemanding employer, who seemed to be genuinely happy to meet them.
