<p class="MsoNormal">I hope that the semester is off to a great start, learning exciting things, making new friends, and being spiritually nourished in this amazing place we are privileged to work in. I wanted to share a few items with you for your calendar

<p class="MsoNormal">First, DONUT DAY returns! This annual tradition mixes our favorite students with our favorite confections. September 22<sup>nd</sup> at 10am outside of the Russell Hall entrance to our building (on the Reid Chapel side). You may bring a
friend interested in our program as well. We can guarantee yummy donuts and great fellowship.

<p class="MsoNormal">Second, the same day is the Neuroscience Major launch at 3pm in the planetarium in Probst Hall. This is a general interest event, with posters, treats, and discussions of what a Neuroscience major or a Neuro/Psych double major would look
like, as well as info on Neuro minors. </p>

<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="border:none;padding:0in"><span class="xs1">This course will provide students with an overview of the disciplines of psychology and neuroscience, including expectations for the majors and career options for students completing
a bachelor or graduate degree in psychology or neuroscience. Skills required for library research, writing in American Psychological Association style, and ethical and professional issues will be discussed. Assignments include readings, database and internet
searches, guest speakers, in-class exercises, written assignments, and group discussions. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
