[Degreeworks-l] Info on Latest DegreeWorks Release

This summer we will be upgrading to DW 4.1.4 in TEST, and then do the same in PROD a few weeks later. (Exact dates still to be determined.)

On the W: drive, I've downloaded the latest technical manuals and installation guides that go w/the 4.1.4 software release (which was originally released in August 2014).  The files are located in the following folder:

W:\Workgroups\DegreeWorks\Technical & User Guides\Updated Tech & User Guides (DW4.1.4)

That folder also includes a ReadMe file that goes w/a patch for 4.1.4 that was released just last Monday, May 4.  (There were two additional files that accompanied the ReadMe file, but they aren't Word, text, or PDF files [one is a WAR file], so when we get to that point-and if we do need to install that patch-someone else should double-check all the available downloads.)  This patch will be important if we are on Java 8.  It allows the new Student Education Planner to run on this platform.

I've also collected other recent documents (PDFs of eCommunities news from the DegreeWorks teams) in this folder:

W:\Workgroups\DegreeWorks\DW Release-Upgrade-Patch Info

This includes the news when various patches or defect solutions for 4.1.3 and 4.1.4 were released.
