[Degreeworks-l] FW: DW4.0.1 DegreeWorks Software Patch Available

I'm assuming the DegreeWorks 4.0.1 patch referenced below is only needed
on the main software installed by Dale Skelton's group, and not required
by the users who installed it from the CD to access Scribe, SureCode,
and Transit.  Am I correct or incorrect in that assumption?

I downloaded the DW4.0.1 Release Guide, as well as the updated tech and
user guides which have been revised as a result (all updated in
mid-December 2008).  I've placed a copy of all of them in a new folder
on the W: drive, labeled as follows:

W:\Workgroups\DegreeWorks\Updated Tech & User Guides (DW4.0.1)

If our version of the software doesn't represent the new patch as we
begin our second training session next week, then the revised guides
won't be as relevant, but I figured we'd need them eventually, so I
placed them on the shared drive.

DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS:

To download the defect patch, go to the SunGard Higher Education Support
Center web site - https://connect.sungardhe.com/customer_support

Click on 'Documentation & Download Center', then the 'Documentation' tab
near the top.  Choose DegreeWorks from the 'Select Product' list.  Check
the checkbox next to 'DW4.0.0' 'Install Guide' and 'Release Guide' and
click the "List Files" button.

Installation Instructions:
DGW_Installation_Guide_DW401.pdf

Next, click on the 'Software Downloads' tab near the top.  Choose
DegreeWorks from the 'Select Product' list.  Check the checkbox next to
"DW4.0.0" and click the "List Files" button.

Patch File:
dwupd-dw4.0.1.tar.gz
PC Installation File:
DegreeWorks_401_Setup.exe

Check the checkboxes next to the instructions and patch file, and click
the 'ZIP Selected Files' button. Click on the 'Click Here to Download
the ZIP File' button to download into your download area. See the
Installation Instructions (DGW_Installation_Guide_DW401.pdf) for the
steps to install this patch onto your server.
