This was posted just the other day on the main DegreeWorks listserv from
Derrek at UC-Irvine.  He has started a blog about DegreeWorks, and
especially about 4.0. 1. Thought it might interest some of you:

Hi Everyone,

 

There was a time late last year when I was getting a lot of emails from
new clients, perspective clients and current clients about our DW
install.

I found myself repeating many emails that were very informative.

 

SO, I decided to create this blog journalizing our testing and installs
of DW at UCI. Why a blog? Easier to document and a great reference for
new clients not on the list serve.

This blog is based on my opinions and experiences. Please refer to it.

Nancy, master scriber, posted an item on it. I'm hoping she does more
posting for scribers. I'm open for other sites to post entries to share
stuff too.

So, for those not on the listserv, you might want to check it out.  If
you already have a Google blogger identity, you can post comments or
questions.  Or you can sign up for one.  Who knows, we may learn some
helpful tips from this blog to supplement the knowledge we gain from
technical manuals, customer support, listserv, etc.  The most recent
entry about wildcards was very interesting.  I don't know if we will
apply it our settings at some point, but it's always good to learn about
other people's experiences with the software.
