[Cus-l] Still Seeking CUS Nominees

Dear ALLA CUS Member,

   We need  to have a strong voice for ACADEMIC libraries in the Alabama Library Association and this can only be accomplished if we have an active CUS division!
   Are you a member of the College, University, and Special (CUS) Libraries Division who wants to get directly involved in this division?
   If so, please consider running for one of the following offices in the Spring 2016 Alabama Library Association elections:

Chair-Elect
Secretary
Member-at-Large for Organization and Bylaws
Member-at-Large for Planning.

   See the CUS Handbook (http://c.ymcdn.com/sites/www.allanet.org/resource/resmgr/Handbook/ALLAHandbookAppendixF.pdf ) Part VI Officers for a description of the responsibilities involved.  (It looks as if the latest revisions to the Handbook have not yet been posted, but the officer duties are unchanged).  Feel free to ask me for more information as well; I have now twice served as CUS Chair as well as in several other CUS offices during the 23 years I have been a member of the Alabama Library Association.
   If interested in running for office, please fill out a C3 Nominee Biographical Information Form (http://www.allanet.org/?page=44 ) and send it to me in the near future.   This will be used in the creation of ballots for the 2016 elections.
   Thank you for your attention and I hope you will seriously consider running for one of these offices!
