<p class="MsoNormal">I hope that the fall semester has gotten off to a good start for each of you. Your faculty and staff are very glad to have you back on campus and in full classrooms.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I know that we had all anticipated coming back to campus this fall and not wearing masks – I’m sorry that we are having to keep that up this fall…I KNOW you are ready to be mask-free and we are equally ready for that day.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Unfortunately, we are not there so I need to ask for your help.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">While many of our faculty and staff are fully vaccinated, they go back to homes with children that are too young to be vaccinated, parents who are in at-risk categories and loved ones that are dealing with serious health issues. Many of
our faculty and staff are, themselves, in high-risk categories but are coming to campus to deliver an excellent in person classroom experience. I want them to feel as safe as possible
<u>in Cooney Hall</u> as they work every day to help you. Additionally, many of your classmates are in at-risk situations and have family in loved ones that have serious health issues that would be compromised by a COVID exposed family member in the home.

<p class="MsoNormal">I wanted you to know <i><u>why</u></i> we are asking you to mask up
<u>during classes</u> and stay masked up <u>in Cooney Hall’s halls and common areas</u> between classes.
