Due to the threat of extreme weather for our immediate area, Samford will close
at 5:30 pm. Because curricular needs vary across programs, instructors
will provide course specific make-up information to students enrolled in their
courses. For students living on campus, Residence Life will
continue to provide resident-specific emails to provide safety
information. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>For those who must remain on campus, we are continually
monitoring information from the National Weather Service <a
href="http://www.srh.noaa.gov/bmx/">http://www.srh.noaa.gov/bmx/</a> and
assessing local conditions. Stay close to sources of weather
information, as conditions can change rapidly. We expect a variety
of watches and warnings to be issued as the evening continues. We will
utilize our RAVE system in the event that the entire campus is ordered to take
action due to the threat of tornadic activity in our immediate vicinity.
