[BusinessGrad] Bulldog Fund Call for Applications: Graduate Students, Summer 2019

Dear Graduate Students,



This message will open the application process for the Summer 2019 rendition of the Bulldog Investment Fund. As you may know, the Bulldog Fund is an (approximately) $2-million portfolio run by students for three credits, repeatable once. Students analyze a particular sector and recommend purchases or sales of securities. Students are required to have completed FINC 321 or FINC 521, as the case may be, as of the time that they begin service as fund managers.



FINC 450/FINC 525 may only be joined by application. Applications are due no later than Friday, March 1 at 3:00 PM, in Ms. Karen Bost's office. Ms. Bost's office is located in Cooney Hall, Room 301-I. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Spend as much time on this as you might on a scholarship or college application. PLEASE BE SURE TO SPECIFY ON YOUR APPLICATION THAT YOU ARE APPLYING FOR THE SUMMER TERM; WE ARE ALSO IN THE PROCESS OF COLLECTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE FALL TERM, AND IT IS TO YOUR BENEFIT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE KNOW WHICH TERM YOU ARE APPLYING FOR.



It is highly recommended that applicants attend one or more meetings this semester's fund managers before Spring Break. Meetings are on Monday evenings from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM, and are held in the Portfolio Management Room (Cooney Hall, Room 280).



Given the relatively small number of opportunities for you to attend a meeting between now and the time that applications are due, we are not going to enforce attendance at a meeting as a strict requirement for applying. However, your finding the time to attend at least one of these meetings will send a strong signal regarding your level of interest.
