Position Type: Spring Intern

Job Description:  Southern Company in Birmingham, Alabama will be conducting interviews for Spring 2014 intern positions in Internal Auditing and Internal Controls & Compliance.  The candidates should be dependable, hard working, and flexible with job responsibilities.   Hours may vary but should be in the 30 - 40 hours per week range during the regular work week (M-F, 8:00-5:00). The candidate should possess a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and have a major in Accounting or Finance.

Qualifications:  The candidate should be proficient in Micro Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), detail oriented and analytical.  The candidate must have strong written, communication and interpersonal skills.  Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
